ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday strongly condemned the tragic blast near police lines in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province that left two children dead.
At least 15 people including policemen were also injured in the blast that occurred near a police line in Pishin, Balochistan.
In his message, President Asif Ali Zardari expressed profound sorrow over the loss of the children and extended heartfelt condolences to the grieving families.
He reiterated his commitment to combating terrorism, instructing authorities to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice. The president also prayed for the children’s elevation to high ranks in Jannah and for strength for their families to endure the loss.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also conveyed deep grief over the death of the children and offered sympathy to their families. He expressed his hopes for the swift recovery of the police officers injured in the blast and directed that they receive the best possible medical care.
The prime minister called for the identification and punishment of the attackers, condemning them as “cowardly terrorists” unworthy of being called humans for targeting innocent children.
He reaffirmed his determination to continue the fight against terrorism until it is completely eradicated.
