ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered the Gwadar Port Authority to provide all possible facilities to Chinese companies working in the area.
He made the remarks while talking to a delegation of Hengeng Trading Company of China led by its Chairman Zhang Bin in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister also directed to provide uninterrupted utilities to the Gwadar Free Zone. He said Pakistan desires to benefit from China’s success in the agriculture sector. He said Chinese investors are welcomed in Pakistan. He recalled that business-to-business pacts were signed between companies of Pakistani and Chinese, which is a welcoming sign.

The delegation informed the Prime Minister that Hengeng Trading Company was investing in the agriculture, livestock, pharmaceutical, and other areas of Pakistan. It was told that the company was building a state-of-the-art slaughterhouse in Gwadar at a cost of US $ 50 million.
The delegation said that the livestock sector of Pakistan would be able to export items worth US $ 30 million annually after the completion of this slaughterhouse. It will also provide around one thousand new jobs for the local community.
Besides, Hengeng Trading Company is exporting pharmaceutical products to China after processing them at the Gwadar Free Zone.
