Pakistan’s PM Leaves for Kuwait to Condole Sad Demise of Emir of Kuwait

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Monday left for Kuwait to condole the sad demise of Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.

Kuwait’s Ambassador saw off the Prime Minister at Noor Khan Airbase Rawalpindi.

Pakistan observed a day of mourning today following the sad demise of Kuwait’s Emir, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

PM Kakar had officially declared December 18 as a day of mourning in Pakistan as a gesture of fraternal solidarity with Kuwait. The national flag flies at half-mast throughout the country on this day, according to a statement issued on Sunday.

Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, aged 86, passed away on Saturday. Various nations expressed sorrow and extended condolences to Kuwait over the sad demise. The day of mourning is a solemn acknowledgment of Pakistan’s support and sympathy for the royal family, government, and people of Kuwait during this period of loss.
