ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday directed the concerned authorities to accelerate the privatization process of public sector enterprises recommended by the Privatization Board.
PM’s statement about privatization
The prime minister while presiding over a review meeting to discuss privatization, stated that transparency must be the main priority in privatization. He stated during the meeting that the government encouraged the privatization of private sector enterprises (PSEs).
He directed that the privatization of the PSEs recommended by the Privatization Board be carried out transparently and in accordance with best international practices.
Federal Ministers Ishaq Dar and Engineer Khurram Dastgir, SAPM Jahanzeb Khan, State Minister Musadik Malik, Advisor Ahad Cheema, and other relevant officers attended the meeting.
