ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar directed all ministries on Friday to devise a strategy within five days for initiating development projects aimed at attracting foreign investment.
Chairing a meeting to assess the advancement of investment agreements across various sectors with GCC countries, the prime minister instructed ministries to promptly present their strategies for feasible projects to the Special Investment Facilitation Council. This directive was highlighted in a press release issued by the PM Office.
During the meeting, the prime minister received updates on the progress of international agreements in sectors such as energy, finance, logistics, food security, water, minerals, and others.
Attending the meeting were caretaker ministers for communications, maritime affairs and railways, law and justice, climate change, finance, energy, and food security, along with the deputy chairman of the Planning Commission and senior officials.
