RIYADH: Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar strongly condemned Israeli atrocities and relentless airstrikes in the Gaza Strip.

Addressing the Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit in Riyadh, the Prime Minister stated that the inhumane blockade of Gaza by Israeli occupation forces violates international humanitarian and human rights laws. He labeled their indiscriminate and disproportionate use of force as war crimes and crimes against humanity.

He called on the global community to hold Israel accountable for these actions. Highlighting the urgency of the matter, Prime Minister Kakar stressed the need for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire, the lifting of the Gaza siege, and swift, unimpeded humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza.

Underlining the root cause of the crisis as perpetual settler colonialism and the denial of Palestinians’ right to self-determination, Prime Minister Kakar reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity and support for the Palestinian people.

PM Kakar emphasized the importance of establishing a viable, secure, contiguous, and sovereign state of Palestine based on pre-June 1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, as the sole guarantee for lasting peace and security in the region.

The Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit in Riyadh, convened by Saudi Arabia, is being held to address the escalating Israeli aggression and worsening humanitarian conditions in occupied Palestine.

The Premier was accompanied by Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and Foreign Secretary Mohammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi.
