NEW YORK: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar participated in the opening session of the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 78) on Tuesday.
Before the session, the caretaker PM arrived at the UN headquarters to attend a welcoming reception hosted by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres for heads of state and government.
According to a press release from the PM Office Media Wing, the prime minister is set to represent Pakistan at a high-level forum focused on the Global Development Initiative and deliver an address to the participants.
Additionally, PM Kakar will attend and address a high-level meeting on Sustainable Development Goals.

Pakistan PM to Hold Meetings with Leaders
During the UNGA session, PM Kakar is expected to hold meetings with Iranian President Sayyid Ebrahim Raisi and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the event.
Furthermore, the prime minister will join a reception hosted by US President Joe Biden in honour of world leaders.
