KARACHI: Pakistan’s caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Wednesday said that the interim government would make maximum efforts to address the problems faced by the business community of Karachi.

Prime Minister Kakar, while talking to the businessmen of the small and medium enterprises, said that keeping in view the limited mandate and time, the caretaker government would put in all-out efforts to make a start for a new Karachi and Pakistan.

The premier said that once a “romance” and vacation destination, Karachi lost its grandeur and suffered from social and economic issues.

PM Resolves to Make Pakistan Strong

He said Karachi used to be home to multiple cultures and ethnicities representing the whole of Pakistan.

The PM said the interim government would strive to revive the country that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal had dreamed of.

He said considering the poor treatment of minorities in India, the people of Pakistan should be thankful for the foresightedness of Jinnah, who had struggled for a separate state.

The prime minister said the observance of rights, mutual respect, and obedience to the Quranic teachings could help resolve almost 92 percent of the problems confronting the country.

He assured the business representatives that the Sindh chief secretary and other authorities would keep them on board to formulate a mechanism to resolve their problems.
