Pakistan’s PM Assigns Additional Portfolios to Five Ministers

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has handed over additional portfolios to five federal cabinet members, a notification issued by the cabinet division said on Wednesday.

As per notification, Abdul Aleem Khan, the Minister for Privatization, now also holds the portfolio of Communication. Moreover, Ahsan Iqbal, the Planning Minister, has been entrusted with the Inter-Provincial Coordination portfolio. Rana Tanveer Hussain has been assigned the National Food Security and Research portfolio alongside his current duties.

Chaudhry Salik Hussain will now oversee the Ministry of Religious Affairs in addition to his existing role.

Musadik Masood Malik has been given the additional responsibility of the Ministry of Water Resources.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Shehbaz has approved the appointment of Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan as coordinator, as per a separate notification.
