Pakistan’s PAC Summons Chairman National Accountability Bureau

ISLAMABAD: The Public Accounts Committee has summoned Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for a briefing on state-run financial institutions and asked the concerned officials to make national institutions including the National Bank of Pakistan, SMEs Banks, and Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited.

The meeting was presided over by Chairman Public Account Committee Noor Alam Khan.

The chairman said the government was taking steps to further promote the agriculture sectors via various practical policies to empower the farmers in the country.

Noor Alam Khan asked the Finance Division to give a complete briefing about its financial expenditures in the next meeting. He added that the country’s institutions should be restored to obtain the milestone.

On the occasion, MNA Dr. Malik Mukhtiar Ahmed added that Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited should also ensure transparency in funds transferring to the farmers in the country, saying stern steps should be taken against corrupt elements.
