Consultation Over Caretaker Set-up in Pakistan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold a second round of consultations with the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Raja Riaz, later today (Friday). They had previously engaged in an hour-long meeting where they discussed six names for the caretaker prime minister. However, the meeting concluded without finalizing the name for the interim prime minister.

Dar Distances Himself from Consultation Process

PML-N Senator Ishaq Dar, in informal discussions with journalists, stated that he has distanced himself from the consultation process concerning the caretaker prime minister. He mentioned that the annulment of the review and judgment act posed no issue.
