Pakistan’s NDMA Sends Aid Consignment to Gaza

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has dispatched 13th consignment of humanitarian assistance to the war-hit people of Gaza today.

According to Radio Pakistan, the consignment included around one hundred tons of winterized tents as well as blankets, which was dispatched from Islamabad to Amman for Gazans.

The send-off ceremony was organized at Islamabad International Airport, which was attended by the Advisor on Legal Affairs Barrister Aqeel Malik, Palestinian envoy to Pakistan Zuhair M. H. Darzaid, representatives of the National Disaster Management Authority, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Armed Forces of Pakistan.

Radio Pakistan reported that a total of thirteen hundred eighty-one tons of relief items have been dispatched to people of Lebanon and Gaza so far.

The Palestinian Ambassador in Pakistan extended the deepest gratitude for firm support and generous humanitarian help to Gaza from people of Pakistan.  He added that the solidarity during these trying times is a beacon of hope as well as a testament to the enduring bond between the two countries.

The envoy stated that the humanitarian help from Pakistan is not just a lifeline of essential supplies but a powerful message of sympathy and unity.
