MINSK: Speaker of Pakistan National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said that Pakistan and Belarus enjoy strong cordial ties expressing resolve to further strengthen ties between the two nations.
According to a press release the Speaker expressed these views during his meeting with the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk on Tuesday. He said Pakistan has a vast potential for investment in the energy, trade and agriculture sectors.
Ayaz Sadiq said that Pakistan-Belarus bilateral ties are characterized by mutual respect and trust. He added that Pakistan-Belarus ties would further expand by collaboration in industrial, economic, and agriculture sectors. Furthermore, he stressed the need to strengthen parliamentary contacts between both countries.
The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated that Belarus attaches great importance to its close relations with Pakistan. He also expressed the desire to further expand cooperation with Pakistan.

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan’s parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq is currently on an official visit to Belarus on the special invitation of his Belarusian counterpart.
