ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Tuesday said that Pakistan and Japan were enjoying long-lasting friendly relations validated by robust trade and cooperation between the two sides.
“Pakistan values its relations with Japan and wants to strengthen it further” he said while talking to Mitsuhiro WADA, Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan.
The Speaker National Assembly further stated that the Pakistani Parliament strongly desired to further improve parliamentary relations between the parliaments of both countries.
Ayaz Sadiq emphasized the need for continuous exchanges of Parliamentary delegations to facilitate all-encompassing vigorous mutual ties.
Highlighting the role of Parliamentary diplomacy, he said that the Parliamentary Friendship Group between Japan and Pakistan at the National Assembly of Pakistan exhibited the concept of commitment to strong bilateral relations between the two friendly sides.
Japan to Strengthen Economic Ties with Pakistan
Meanwhile, Japan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Mitsuhiro WADA said that Japan would continue to work with Pakistan to further enhance economic relations between the two nations. He also appreciates Pakistan’s economic potential and the ongoing efforts for economic revival.
The envoy endorsed the proposal of the Speaker for diversification of trade and economic relations between the two countries and assured the speaker about Japan’s commitment and continued support in the socio-economic development of Pakistan.
