ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s machinery imports decreased by 44% to $499 million in January 2023, on Year-on-Year (YOY) basis.
The machinery imports were $894 million in January 2022; however, it recorded a steep fall in the course of one year.
In January 2023, Pakistan imported power generation machinery worth $44 million, office machinery ($27 million), textile machinery ($15 million), construction and mining machinery ($9 million), and electrical machinery ($149 million).
Other Machinery
Pakistan also imported machinery of telecom worth $78 million, mobile phone ($52 million), agriculture ($2 million) and other machinery valued at $173 million.
