ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday expressed his grief over the demise of former pope Emeritus Benedict XVI.
The Prime Minister tweeted that he is saddened to learn about the death of Pope Benedict XVI. Shehbaz Sharif said that Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI would be mourned by millions worldwide including in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also expressed his deep sorrow over the death of former Pope Benedict XVI.
In a statement on Saturday, the foreign minister said that he expressed sorrow over the death of former Pope Benedict XVI.
On his official Twitter account, the minister shared the grief of Christian compatriots and Catholics worldwide.
He posted, ” we are saddened to learn about the passing away of Pope Benedict XVI. May he Rest In Peace”.
