ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has discussed issues Pakistanis face in obtaining visas for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with top officials of the Gulf country.
He held discussions with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during his visit to the UAE.
They reached a consensus to take necessary steps to facilitate visas, especially work visas, for Pakistani citizens.
The UAE interior minister assured all possible cooperation in this regard.
Pakistan-UAE Relations
Mohsin Naqvi said that fraternal relations with the UAE are an asset for every Pakistani. He added that a large number of Pakistanis are contributing to the strength of the UAE’s economy. The minister said that he wanted to facilitate Pakistani citizens in easily coming to the UAE.
He said that Pakistani citizens will get a lot of relief with the ease of the visa policy. The two sides also exchanged views on enhancing cooperation to prevent smuggling and illegal immigration. He said that Pakistan wants to enhance bilateral cooperation with the UAE in all sectors.
Mohsin Naqvi also visited the Abu Dhabi Police’s modern system and operations room, where UAE Interior Ministry officials briefed him on the Monitoring Operations Room.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed deep interest in the latest police monitoring system and appreciated the policing system.
