MALE: Pakistan Information and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Murtaza Solangi met with the newly elected Maldives President, Muhammad Muizzu, on Saturday.
During the meeting, they discussed issues of mutual interests, bilateral relations, economic cooperation, and the appointment of the Maldivian Ambassador to Pakistan.
Information Minister conveyed congratulations on behalf of Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, the Government, and the people of Pakistan, expressing best wishes for President Muizzu.
Both sides expressed commitment to working together to enhance regional cooperation and pledged to strengthen mutual relations between the two countries.
Maldives President to Visit Pakistan
President Muizzu also accepted Murtaza Solangi’s invitation to visit Pakistan.
The Maldivian President expressed gratitude to Minister Solangi for representing the Pakistani Government at his sown-in ceremony and announced plans to appoint an ambassador to Pakistan to further strengthen diplomatic ties with Islamabad.
Minister Solangi underscored the value Pakistan places on its relationship with the Maldives, emphasizing an unbreakable brotherly bond. He highlighted the commitment to reinforcing bilateral diplomatic relations and fostering stronger ties in the future. As a member of SAARC, Pakistan affirmed its dedication to enhancing bilateral cooperation with the Maldives across various fields.
