Pakistan’s IBCC Recognizes Career-related Program

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), Ministry of Education on Thursday officially recognized the Career-related Program (CP) and it will be equivalent to the Science subjects of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) i.e., Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering Group) of Pakistan.

IBBC said on Thursday that all students who have a Secondary School Certificate (SCC) or equivalent qualification, will be considered eligible to study the CP.

The Regional Manager of Pakistan Uzma Shujjat said that CP is now officially recognized by both science and humanities groups throughout the country. It will open new opportunities for CP students in Pakistan to join higher education, including engineering and medicine.

The CP is specifically designed for students aged between 16 and 19 years who want to engage in career-related learning, while also continuing to learn transferable and lifelong skills in applied knowledge, communication, critical thinking and cross-cultural engagement..
