ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Saeed A Al Malkiy called on Federal Minister of Health Dr. Nadeem Jan on Thursday to discuss matters of mutual interest, cooperation, and bilateral relations.
The envoy felicitated Dr. Nadeem Jan on assuming the post of the Ministry of Health. He said that the appointment of a global health expert Dr. Nadeem Jan is a good omen.
During the meeting, both sides discussed bilateral cooperation and issues of mutual interest. Dr. Nadeem Jan acknowledged and lauded Saudi Arabia’s deep commitment to Pakistan and the welfare of its people.
Pakistan-Saudi Arabia ties highlighted
He said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have historical and religious fraternal ties. In every hour of difficulty, the Kingdom has supported Pakistan. The hearts of the people of both nations beat together.
The health minister highlighted his integrated agenda for the development of the health sector as per the vision of the Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar ul Haq Kakar.
He said that Pakistan is the first country in the world to hold the Global Health Security Summit.
The minister further said that Pakistan has formulated an integrated strategy to increase the export of the pharma industry. Effective steps are being taken to enhance the capacity of pharma industry.
He said that the recently established Special Investment Facilitation Council is a good initiative for the development of the national economy as it will promote investment in the country.
Both sides also agreed to promote medical tourism, which has vast potential for investment.
The Saudi Ambassador said that his country will benefit from the medical sector of Pakistan.
