ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Professor Ahsan Iqbal, emphasized on Tuesday that the government is committed to empowering the youth to thrive in the digital economy, securing their future.
In an interview with the state-run news channel PTV, he highlighted the government’s dedication to enhancing the skills of young individuals by providing them with training in new computer technologies. The aim is to equip every youth with the ability to navigate the digital economy effectively, enabling them to contribute significantly to the country’s development.
Grant for Digital Economy Ideas
The Federal Minister also announced a grant ranging from Rs5-20 million for the youth to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the country. The goal is to encourage youth to utilize their capabilities and develop innovative ideas to drive the country’s progress. Moreover, promoting entrepreneurship will create additional employment opportunities for the skilled and semi-skilled workforce in the nation.
He also revealed that the laptop scheme for university students would resume soon, enabling them to access necessary educational and developmental resources.
