Pakistan’s Forex Reserves Reach at $13.248b

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s total liquid foreign reserves stood at 13,248.4 million dollars, while reserves held by the central bank reached at 7,930.5 million dollars.

The State Bank of Pakistan said in a statement on Thursday that the central reserves dropped by 125 million dollars to 7,930.5 million dollars on account of debt repayments during the week ended on 18 August 2023.

Reserves held by commercial banks

Meanwhile, net foreign reserves held by commercial banks were recorded at 5,317.9 million dollars,  the statement added.

In the previous week ending on 11 August, Pakistan’s total liquid foreign reserves were 13,379 million dollars.

Among them, foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan were 8,055.3 million dollars, while net foreign reserves with commercial banks were 5,323.7 million dollars.
