NAUSHKI, Pakistan: Pakistan’s security forces successfully repelled an aggressive attempt by Afghan Taliban forces at the Naushki-Ghazni sector on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

Afghan forces initiated unprovoked firing on Pakistani posts while Pakistani soldiers were repairing the border fence, according to Express Tribune.

In a swift response, Pakistani forces targeted Afghan checkpoints, causing significant damage to the attackers.

Sources indicate that the Pakistani military’s retaliation inflicted heavy losses on the Afghan forces. This is not the first instance of aggression from Afghan forces, as tensions between the two sides persist.

Pakistan remains committed to strong border defence and will continue its security measures to safeguard its territory.
