MAKKAH AL-MUKARRAMAH: The first batch of Pakistan’s Hajj medical mission, consisting of 138 members, including 67 medical experts, 19 Moavineen (guides), and 52 staff officers from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, has arrived in Makkah Al-Mukarramah from Islamabad.

They have been welcomed by the Pakistan Hajj mission staff as they prepare to offer round-the-clock support to the pilgrims.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has taken significant steps to ensure the provision of medical facilities for the pilgrims. Two hospitals have been established in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, where pilgrims can access necessary medical care.

Additionally, dispensaries have been set up in each residential sector, and doctors and paramedics have been stationed at airports to assist the pilgrims upon their arrival.

Medical mission is to provide comprehensive healthcare services

The primary objective of the medical mission is to provide comprehensive healthcare services in accordance with the regulations set by Saudi Arabia. To achieve this, one doctor has been assigned for every one thousand pilgrims, ensuring continuous support and the well-being of the pilgrims throughout their stay in Saudi Arabia.

The medical professionals will be available round the clock to address a wide range of health-related issues, including common illnesses, injuries, and other medical concerns.

The medical mission, along with the supporting staff, will work closely with local authorities, healthcare professionals, and other relevant organizations to enhance the effectiveness of their services. This collaborative approach aims to ensure the highest level of care and support for the Pakistani pilgrims during their Hajj journey.

The initial flights carrying Pakistani pilgrims are scheduled to arrive in Jeddah and Madina Munawara from Sunday (May 21). This year, approximately 180,000 Pakistanis will travel to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj, and the medical mission is fully prepared to cater to their healthcare needs.
