Pakistan’s Finance Minister, Punjab Governor Discuss Economic Crises

LAHORE: Pakistan’s Federal Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar on Saturday called on Governor Punjab Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman here at Governor House where both the dignitaries discussed different issues including the overall economic situation of the country and the province.

Talking on this occasion, Governor Punjab Muhammad Baligh ur Rahman said that the entire economic team under the leadership of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was making all-out efforts to bring improvement and stability to the struggling economic situation of the country.

He said that during the last PML-N-led government, the rate of inflation was low with better GDP growth where Pakistan was emerging as a strong country financially and reiterated that the incumbent government was committed to bringing economic stability to the country once again despite multiple challenges faced by the country.

Finance Minister hopes for improvement

Governor also hailed and congratulated the Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on his recent successful visits to foreign countries and said that the way the whole world had announced the relief package for the people of Pakistan was an expression of confidence in the transparency of the current government.

Meanwhile, Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that the coming days would witness further improvement in the country’s economy and added that the ongoing economic challenges had never been witnessed before in the history of Pakistan

However, despite all these challenges, the PML-N-led coalition government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was utilizing all its abilities to bring economic stability to the country, Dar said.
