ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s exports have recorded a substantial rise due to the efforts of Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), according to local media reports.

Radio Pakistan reported that during the fiscal year 2024, agriculture and Information Technology (IT), which are among the priority fields of SIFC, obtained significant gains in exports.

Pakistan has exported over six million tons of different varieties of rice during the financial year 2024 and earned around four billion dollars in revenue, which is praiseworthy. Considering this accomplishment, the goal of rice exports in the next fiscal year has been set at five billion dollars.

This landmark is a major achievement of Pakistan’s agricultural field which is likely to create more opportunities for Pakistan in the global markets and further progress and development in domestic agricultural production.

After the success in the rice field, the Italian food trade firm established a partnership on fifty percent with a Pakistani firm, Radio Pakistan reported.

Along with this, SIFC facilitation has also led to a major increase in IT exports by 42 percent in financial year 2024 and also earned a revenue of 292 million dollars.  These achievements also bagged through the efforts of SIFC will not only strengthen Pakistan’s presence in the international market, but also create new opportunities for future trade deals and partnerships.
