ISLAMABAD: President of the Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society Lieutenant General (retd) Malik Abdul Qayyum Awan on Monday slammed the geopolitical influence of the “US-Israel-India nexus” and accused the trio of trampling international laws, defying the UN Charter, and disregarding rulings by the International Court of Justice.

Speaking at a press conference in Rawalpindi, General Qayyum termed the US, Israel and India’s actions as modern imperialism that has crippled the credibility of global peacekeeping institutions.

General Qayyum pointed to Washington’s aggressive trade policies, calling them an unnecessary economic war that has only deepened global instability.

He argued that the world is currently caught in a transitional phase—neither firmly unipolar nor fully multipolar—and that efforts are underway to resist the Eastward shift of global financial power from the West.

Flanked by other senior retired military officials—including Vice Admiral Abdul Aleem, Commodore Arshad Mahmood Khan, Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal, Major General Liaquat Ali, and Air Marshal Pervez Nawaz—the General painted a sobering picture of rising regional hostilities and strategic misinformation.

Censorship and Conspiracy: India’s Media Blackout Criticized

Chief Organizer Malik Aziz Ahmed Awan further condemned India’s decision to block the broadcast of 16 Pakistani news channels, including leading media outlets, cutting off access to over 63 million viewers.

He labelled the move a deliberate attempt to keep the Indian public in the dark and suppress alternative narratives.

He warned that any aggression toward Pakistan would not be met in silence: “If war is imposed, the entire Pakistani nation, including millions of our ex-servicemen, will stand shoulder to shoulder with our armed forces.”

Terrorism’s Toll and Accusations of Subversion

Awan also highlighted Pakistan’s deep scars from decades of terrorism, claiming the country has paid a massive price—both in blood and economic cost, with losses estimated at over $600 billion.

He pointed fingers at India as the region’s “chief patron of terrorism,” accusing it of destabilizing not just Pakistan, but other neighbouring nations like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and even extending its disruptive reach into Western countries like Canada and the US.

He dismissed the recent incident in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir as a politically motivated false-flag operation, likening it to past controversial attacks like Pathankot, Uri, and Pulwama, orchestrated to sway voter sentiment ahead of Bihar’s upcoming elections.

Water Wars and Diplomatic Red Lines

The ex-servicemen lashed out at India’s threats to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty—calling it a blatant violation of international conventions and an act of hydrological hostility.

They called upon the international community to break its silence and act swiftly to de-escalate rising tensions, warning that Pakistan is fully prepared to defend its sovereignty if pushed to the brink.
