Pakistan’s Envoy in UAE Urges Pakistani Diaspora to Respect Local Laws

DUBAI: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, has urged the Pakistani diaspora to serve as exemplary representatives of their nation while adhering to local laws.

Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) during the “Emirates Loves Pakistan” event celebrating Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, the ambassador praised the event’s magnificence.

“This remarkable celebration highlights the deep and lasting bond between Pakistan and the UAE,” Ambassador Tirmizi remarked. “This relationship was firmly established by the visionary leadership of our Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.”

The event attracted over 20,000 people from various nationalities and featured Pakistani culture, music, and cuisine.

The ambassador emphasized the pride and strength the Pakistani community brings and encouraged them to respect UAE laws and enhance their skills, recognizing their vital role in the UAE’s progress.

He expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Association Dubai, Emirates Loves Pakistan, and the UAE Government Media Office for their support in making the event a success.

Ambassador Tirmizi also congratulated Pakistani javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem on his historic achievement at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
