ISLAMABAD: A three-day drama festival, “Tamasha 22,” at Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), continued to enthrall and mesmerize audiences of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, the twin cities of Pakistan.

The drama festival features thought-provoking performances by theater groups and university students. It has been organized in collaboration with Quaid e Azam University Islamabad’s Quaidian Dramatic Club. At the same time, dramas by students of youth groups, universities, and college students are being staged all over Pakistan.
The festival includes cultural dances, Mimes, plays, and reenactments by young students from across Pakistan. Plays on social issues will be performed to provide the twin city residents with quality entertainment.

Performances during drama festival
During the drama festival, a presentation on the necessities of the theatre was given, followed by a UET Lahore students’ Mime performance and Nadir Abbas QDC’s Musical performance. Other stage plays include Cultural Dances by QDC Islamabad, Eclipse by Iqra University, Aasaib by International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), Chaker by QDC, Jog Rangai by Agriculture University Faisalabad, Bhangra Dance Performance by Agriculture University Faisalabad, Mime performance by Agriculture University, Faisalabad, Stage Play by GC. University, Faisalabad, and Lahore, and a prize distribution ceremony to award the participants.

The festival will stage the talent of different theater groups with diverse ideas to enthrall the fun lovers of Islamabad
while all the plays have a message, some stories combine strong expressions with script techniques, acting, and dialogue delivery.
