ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s diplomatic missions around the world marked the 78th Independence Day and victory of Marka-e-Haq with traditional zeal and enthusiasm.
Flag hoisting ceremonies were also held at the embassies, highlighting the historical significance of the occasion.
Saudi Arabia

Meanwhile, Consul General of Pakistan in Jeddah Khalid Majid led the ceremony, joined by a large Pakistani community and legendary cricketer Javed Miandad, who witnessed with great pride and honour as the National Flag rose amidst the national anthem.
France
The Pakistan Embassy in Paris celebrated the 78th Independence Day of Pakistan with a flag hoisting ceremony.
Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch raised the Pakistani flag to the tune of the national anthem in the presence of members of the diaspora, embassy officials, and Pakistani families, including a large number of children.

The colourful Independence Day program included national songs and a documentary. Later, the guests enjoyed traditional Pakistani food.
UAE
The Pakistani diaspora in the United Arab Emirates celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day with heartfelt patriotism and pride, a statement said.
Flag-hoisting ceremonies were held at Pakistan’s Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate in Dubai, which drew families from across the emirates.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi in his national day message, reflected on the enduring values of unity, faith, and discipline as the guiding lights for Pakistan’s future.
He paid tribute to Pakistan’s resilience and unity in the face of challenges and celebrated recent historic successes in national defence.

He praised the Pakistani diaspora’s role in building bridges between the two nations, noting their contribution of 7.9 billion dollars in remittances last year and their invaluable service to the UAE’s growth.
China
The Pakistan embassy in China also organised a dignified flag hoisting ceremony to commemorate the Independence Day and the historic victory of Marka-e-Haq during Operation Bunyan al-Marsous.
The event was attended by officials of the Embassy and members of the Pakistani community in China.
Rich tribute was paid to the sacrifices made during the freedom struggle under the leadership of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Pakistan Embassy in Türkiye on Thursday celebrated Pakistan Independence Day and the victory of Marka-e-Haq. The embassy in a statement on X also praised the participation of the Turkish military contingent alongside Pakistani troops at a ceremony in Islamabad to mark the day.

Pakistan’s Embassy in Moscow celebrated Pakistan Independence Day with a solemn ceremony. The event began with Ambassador Muhammad Khalid Jamali hoisting the national flag.
The celebration continued with musical performances by members of the Pakistani community. A special quiz about Pakistan’s history was also held for the children.

Netherlands
The Embassy of Pakistan in the Netherlands held a ceremony to celebrate the Independence Day of Pakistan and the victory in Marka-e-Haq with traditional zeal and enthusiasm.
A flag hoisting ceremony was held at Pakistan House, which was attended by a number of Pakistani community members, including students, women, and children from different parts of the Netherlands.
Ambassador Syed Haider Shah hoisted the national flag at the tune of the national anthem. Messages from the President, the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister on this auspicious occasion were read out to the audience.
During the ceremony, a group of singers from Urdu Church of the Netherlands presented national songs which was highly appreciated by the participants.

Nepal
Pakistan’s Embassy in Nepal also celebrated Independence Day with a flag hoisting ceremony attended by members of the Pakistani community, Nepali well-wishers, and embassy officials with their families.
Prayers were offered in memory of those who sacrificed their lives for the country’s freedom.
The participants of the event highlighted the day’s significance as a reminder of courage, unity and the sacrifices that led to the creation of Pakistan.
India
The High Commission of Pakistan in India, on Thursday, celebrated the 78th anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence with national zeal and fervour.
Saad Ahmad Warraich, Chargé d’Affaires of Pakistan to India, hoisted the national flag during a ceremony at the High Commission. Officers and staff of the High Commission, along with their families, attended the event, said a statement issued by the High Commission.
