DOHA, Qatar: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has emphasized the importance of greater unity among Muslim nations to counter Israeli aggression, stressing the need for a coordinated response at a time of heightened regional tensions.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit preparatory meeting in Doha on Sunday, Dar strongly condemned Israel’s strikes on Qatar and other Muslim countries, describing them as blatant violations of sovereignty and international law.
Israel attempted to kill the political leaders of Hamas with the attack in Doha on Tuesday, a strike that risked derailing United States-backed efforts to broker a truce in Gaza and end the nearly two-year-old conflict.

They strongly condemned Israeli strikes on Qatar and other Muslim nations as gross violations of sovereignty and international law, a Foreign Office statement said.
They welcomed the Arab Islamic Summit as timely and essential for collective action at this critical juncture.
Meanwhile, Ishaq Dar met Bangladesh’s Foreign Affairs Adviser, Md Touhid Hossain, and emphasised unity across the Muslim Ummah, the Foreign Office said.

Ishaq Dar thanked the OIC-SG for steering OIC’s constructive role in forging unity and solidarity within the Ummah.
