VANCOUVER, Canada: Pakistan’s Ashab Irfan made history by claiming his first-ever PSA World Tour title, defeating England’s Sam Todd 3-0 in the final of the Richardson Wealth Men’s Vancouver Open 2025.

The 21-year-old Pakistani player, seeded fourth, put on a commanding performance in the 43-minute encounter, outclassing Todd, who was seeded sixth, with scores of 11-9, 11-1, and 11-5.

The victory at the Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour Copper event, which had a total prize purse of $31,250, marks a significant milestone for Irfan, who has been making rapid strides in the professional squash circuit.

His dominant win in Vancouver is a testament to his growing prowess and marks the first major breakthrough of his career.

The win not only earned him his first PSA World Tour title but also solidified his status as one of the top emerging players on the circuit.

The Richardson Wealth Men’s Vancouver Open 2025 showcased some of the best talent in the sport, and Ashab Irfan’s triumph stands as a defining moment in his career.

With this victory, he is now poised to make an even bigger impact on the international squash stage in the coming years.
