RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir on Friday Visited the Karachi Corps area of responsibility, where he inaugurated Innovista Indus IT Park, said a military statement.
During his visit, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir was briefed on operational readiness and key training initiatives within the Army, said Inter Services Public Relations.
As part of his visit, General Munir inaugurated the Innovista Indus IT Park, a new hub designed to empower Pakistan’s youth through enhanced collaboration between academia and industry in the Information Technology sector, particularly in Artificial Intelligence.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and notable members of the civil community. Chief Minister emphasized the importance of the IT sector for maximizing youth potential and driving economic growth.
The COAS noted that projects like Innovista are crucial for creating a conducive environment to foster the growth of the IT industry, which is already progressing rapidly.
He also engaged with the business community in Karachi, commending their contributions to the nation’s economic development. Participants expressed confidence in the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) for its role in enhancing positive economic indicators and providing a supportive atmosphere for further growth.
General Munir Asim Munir recognized the collective efforts of federal and provincial governments in bolstering initiatives, stating that those who sought to instill despair in society have been overcome by the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders.
He also acknowledged the supportive roles of friendly nations, particularly China, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, in aiding Pakistan’s economic recovery across various sectors.
Highlighting Pakistan’s immense potential, the COAS urged confidence in the nation’s bright future, asserting that with its vast resources and capabilities, Pakistan is destined to reclaim its rightful place among the community of nations, Insha Allah.
