BEIJING: Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi on Wednesday called on the United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator in China, Siddharth Chatterjee, in Beijing.
Chatterjee briefed the ambassador on collaborative efforts within the UN China Cooperation Framework and highlighted progress made in ongoing UN reforms during the meeting.
Expressing gratitude for the briefing, Ambassador Hashmi expressed keenness for further discussions leading up to the Future Summit in New York later this year.
“I had the honor of hosting His Excellency Khalil Hashmi, esteemed Ambassador of Pakistan to China, at the United Nations office in Beijing,” Chatterjee shared on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter).

Recognizing Ambassador Hashmi’s distinguished career in diplomacy, Chatterjee commended his extensive experience at Pakistan’s UN missions in Geneva and New York, which provided him with a profound understanding of the United Nations.
“Our discussions encompassed updates on collaborative efforts under the UN China Cooperation Framework and advancements in ongoing UN Reforms,” Chatterjee elaborated.
