Pakistan’s Ambassador Assures Assistance to Pakistanis Injured in UAE Fire Incident

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, on Sunday assured all possible help to fellow Pakistanis who were wounded in a fire eruption incident at a perfumes and sanitizers-related chemical products depot in Ajman.

He also expressed his best wishes and prayers for the early recovery of the wounded.

A sad accident of fire eruption occurred on February 24. A total of 9 Pakistanis were injured in the ill-fated incident and were immediately rushed to different hospitals, the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai said in a statement.

Consul General Hussain Muhammad said that the Consulate General was ensuring all possible assistance to the injured Pakistanis. The Welfare Wing of Pakistan’s Consulate General, Dubai, visited the hospitals after the incident and is constantly in touch with the relevant authorities.

Injured Pakistanis’ Details

Four of these wounded were initially shifted to Khalifa bin Zayed Hospital, Ajman included Imam Bux s/o Khuda Bux Solangi, Nawab s/o Shah Nawaz, and Gul Dad s/o Shah Nawaz Dahri, all belonging to Shaheed Benazirabad District (Nawabshah), and Akram s/o Dawood Khan a resident of District Dera Ghazi Khan (DG Khan).

Nawab and Imam Bux were later transferred to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City Abu Dhabi, while the other two were under treatment in the same health facility. Ijaz, s/o Abdul Aziz, is taken to Zayed Hospital Sharjah; Shahid, s/o Mumtaz, and Zahoor, s/o Hayat, to Kuwait Hospital Sharjah, while Sikandar, s/o Abdul Rahim, is admitted to Al Qassimi Hospital Sharjah.

The Welfare Wing’s team is in coordination with Al Jurf Police Station, Ajman, to technically help in checking the incident site for tracing Akbar s/o Khamisa Khan, a resident of DG Khan, Punjab, who is the 9th victim of the accident.
