ISLAMABAD: Serena Hotels and the Aga Khan Trust for Cultural Services hosted an evening celebrating Aga Khan Music Awards laureates. These prizewinners included Pakistan artists, “Queen of Pashtu” Zarsanga and the “Mystical Punjabi Sufi Singer” Sain Zahoor, and are well-known and unique performers and who took centerstage at today’s event here in Islamabad.
Both Sain Zahoor and Zarsaanga performed before the distinguished guests along with students of the Leif Larson Media Center.
Those attending the event included government officials, ministers, members of the corporate sector along with newspersons.
Award event held in Oman

In April 2011 the Leif Larsen Music Centre was established at the Altit Fort and focused on training youth on using old musical instruments to keep Pakistan’s Northern Areas cultural music alive.
The award distribution event had been held in October in Muscat, Oman at the Royal Opera House.
