ISLAMABAD: Lahore-based smart gadgets manufacturer Airlink Communication is set to launch Pakistan’s first official Apple retail store in Lahore later this year, according to a local brokerage and market research firm.
The announcement was made during a corporate briefing by Airlink Communication, which is involved in the manufacturing, distribution, and retail of smartphones, TVs, and wearable devices.
Officials from Topline Securities, a Pakistani brokerage and market research company, attended the briefing.
Apple Inc., headquartered in Cupertino, California, is a leading American multinational technology company renowned for its consumer electronics, software, and online services, including the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, and Apple TV.
“Airlink plans to open Pakistan’s first-ever Apple retail store by the end of 2025, along with a Xiomi retail outlet, in Dolmen Mall Lahore,” Topline Securities shared on X, citing the Airlink management.
This development comes just weeks after Apple unveiled its highly anticipated iPhone 17, which the company highlighted for its brighter, more scratch-resistant display and improved front camera.
In Pakistan, iPhones are considered aspirational devices, valued not only for their build quality and software support but also as symbols of social status.
In September 2024, GNEXT Technologies, Apple’s authorised distributor in Pakistan, appointed Airlink Communication as its premium partner in the country.
“This strategic appointment aims to significantly expand the availability of Apple products through structured retail channel coverage,” Airlink Communication said at the time.
“This will ensure that customers have convenient access to a wide range of Apple products, including iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, Apple watches, and accessories.”
