Pakistani Students to Travel Japan Under Asia Youth Exchange Program

ISLAMABAD: As many as 9 Pakistani students from various educational institutions will leave Pakistan for Japan on Saturday for a seven-day tour under the “Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Programme in Science” (SAKURA Exchange Programme in Science).

In this regard, the Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training (MoFEPT) organized an orientation session at Allama Iqbal Open University. Prof. Dr. Irshad Ahmed Arshad, Dean, Faculty of Science AIOU, presided over the event, while Nasreen Bano, Joint Education Advisor MoFEPT, was the chief guest.

Director General of the Pakistan Institute of Education, Dr. Zaigham Qadeer, Dr. Rifat Jabeen from the Directorate of Education, Director of Student Affairs AIOU, Syed Ghulam Kazim Ali, Dr. Kanwal, and Dr. Afshah Huma, were also present on the occasion. Dr. Irshad Ahmad Arshad said that these students selected for the Japan visit are a source of pride for us.

He encouraged students, saying that this visit would be the turning point in their life, that their skills would improve, and that they would be able to compete with international students in every field. According to Nasreen Bano, there is no shortage of talent in Pakistan. She stated that the Federal Ministry of Education is continually looking for methods to provide talented students with more opportunities to grow. She congratulated the students and their parents for being selected for this visit.
