SIRIUS, Russia: Muhammad Hashir, a student from Balochistan Residential College Loralai, has earned a bronze medal for Pakistan at the prestigious International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) 2025.

The competition, which took place from November 23 to December 2 in Sirius, Russia, saw the brightest young minds from 80 countries compete in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Outstanding Performance on the Global Stage

Hashir’s remarkable achievement stood out among hundreds of participants under the age of 16.

His exceptional problem-solving skills and scientific knowledge were key factors in earning him the bronze medal, bringing pride and recognition to Pakistan on the global scientific stage.

Pakistan’s Delegation at the IJSO 2025

The Pakistani delegation at the IJSO 2025 consisted of six carefully selected students, each chosen through a competitive national selection process led by the Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) and the Ministry of Science and Technology. Along with Hashir, the team included:
