ISLAMABAD: The exchange rate of the Pakistani rupee weakened by Rs3.01 against the US dollar in the interbank trading on Tuesday and closed at Rs291.50 against the previous day’s closing of Rs288.49.
However, the buying and selling rates of the greenback in the open market stood at Rs299.1 and Rs302, respectively, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan.
The price of the Euro went up by Rs1.13 to close at Rs318.38 against the last day’s closing of Rs317.25, as per the State Bank of Pakistan’s data.
Rupee against Yen
The Japanese Yen remained constant and closed at Rs1.99, whereas a surge of Rs3.13 was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which traded at Rs369.80 in contrast to the last closing of Rs366.67.
The exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal went up by 82 paisa each to close at Rs79.36 and Rs77.71, respectively.
