Pakistani Rupee’s Downward Slide Continues Against Dollar, Settling at Rs 303.05

ISLAMABAD: After a minimal decline last day, the Pakistani currency went down further against the American Dolar on Tuesday by Rs 1.05 in the interbank trading and closed at Rs 303.05 compared to Rs 302 last day as reported by the State Bank of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market also went up and settled at Rs 319.5 and Rs 322.5 respectively.

Pak Rupee Against Other Currencies

Like the US Dollar, the price of the Euro also appreciated by Rs 1.41 to close at Rs 327.56 against Rs 326.15 the previous day.

However, the Japanese Yen observed no change and stood at Rs 2.06, whereas the British Pound appreciated by Rs 2.43 in the exchange rate and was traded at Rs 382.10 as compared to Rs 379.67 on Monday.

The exchange rates of the Saudi Riyal and the Emirates Dirham went up by 29 paisa each to close at Rs 80.78 and Rs 82.51 respectively.
