Pakistani Rupee Weakens by Rs3.43 Against US Dollar

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani rupee on Wednesday witnessed a Rs3.43 depreciation against the US dollar in the interbank trading, closing at Rs294.93 against the previous day’s closing of Rs291.50.

However, the Forex Association of Pakistan said that the buying and selling rates of the greenback in the open market stood at Rs301.5 and Rs303.5, respectively.

Rupee Against Other Currencies

The price of the Euro went up by Rs3.98 to close at Rs322.36 against the last day’s closing of Rs318.38, as per the data of the State Bank of Pakistan.

The Japanese Yen increased by 3 and closed at Rs2.02, whereas a surge of Rs6.32 was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which traded at Rs376.12 in contrast to the last closing of Rs369.80.

The exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal went up by 93 paisa each to close at Rs80.29 and Rs78.64, respectively.
