Pakistani Rupee Strengthens Rs1.04 Against US Dollar

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Rupee on Tuesday registered its 20th consecutive recovery session as it gained Rs 1.04 against the US dollar in the interbank trading and closed at 285.72 rupees against the previous day’s closing of 286.76 rupees.

Forex Association of Pakistan said that however, the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market stood at 283.5 rupees and 286.3 respectively rupees.

Rupee Against Other Currencies

The price of the Euro went down Rs 3.34 to close at 299.56 rupees against the last day’s closing of 302.90 rupees, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The Japanese Yen decreased by 01 paisa to close at 1.90 rupees, whereas a decrease of 4.08 rupees was recorded in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which traded at 345.42 rupees as compared to the last closing of 349.50 rupees.

The exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal went down by 29 and 28 paisa to close at 77.78 rupees and 76.17 rupees respectively.
