ISLAMABAD: After continuous decline for a couple of days, the Pakistani rupee got slight stability as the exchange rate against the US dollar appreciated by 01 paise in the interbank trading on Monday and closed at Rs 224.94 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 224.93.
As reported by the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the US dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 231.7 and Rs 234, respectively.

While according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the price of the euro got slight strength with an increase of 15 paisa, closing at Rs 239.34 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 239.19.
Meanwhile, the Japanese Yen lost three paisa to close at Rs1.60, while the British Pound witnessed an increase of 44 paisa, which was traded at Rs 274.46 against Rs 274.02 last day.
The exchange rates for Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal remained unchanged and closed at Rs 61.24 and 59.80, respectively.-APP
