Pakistani Rupee Loses Rs1.11 Against US Dollar

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Rupee witnessed another downfall on Monday while losing Rs 1.11 against the American US Dollar in the interbank trading as it closed at Rs 287.92 against Rs 286.81 the previous day.

Meanwhile, the rates in the open market also went up as, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the greenback in the open market settled at Rs 291.5 and Rs 294, respectively.

Pakistani Rupee Against Euro, Riyal, Others Currencies

Unlike the greenback, the price of the Euro went down by 12 paisa to close at Rs 319.01 against Rs 319.13 on Friday; however, the Japanese Yen witnessed an increase of 01 paisa to settle at Rs 2.03.

On the contrary, the British Pound recorded an increase of 90 paisa in the exchange rate and was traded at Rs 370.02 compared to its previous day’s closing of Rs 369.12.

The exchange rates of the Saudi Riyal and Emirates Dirham recorded an increase of 29 paisa and 30 paisa to close at Rs 76.76 and Rs 78.38, respectively.
