ISLAMABAD: The exchange rate of the Pakistani rupee witnessed an appreciation of Rs 1.28 against the American dollar in the interbank trading on Monday while closing at Rs 275.29 against the last trading day closing of Rs 276.57.
As reported by the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the US dollar in the open market were witnessed at Rs 275.25 and Rs 278.00, respectively.
Pakistani Rupee Against International Currencies
As per reports of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the euro price also went down by Rs 4.32 and closed at Rs 296.96 against its previous day’s closing of Rs 301.28.
The Japanese yen was also depreciated by 05 paisa to close at Rs 2.14, while the British pound got a decrease of Rs 5.30 in the exchange rate, which was transacted at Rs 332.06 against its last day closing of Rs 337.36.
Meanwhile, the Emirates dirham and Saudi riyal witnessed a depreciation of Rs 34 paisa each to close at Rs 74.95 75.29 and Rs 73.36, respectively.
