ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani rupee Tuesday appreciated by 9 paisas against the US dollar, closing at Rs 278.61 compared to the previous day’s Rs 278.70 in interbank trading.
In the open market, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the dollar’s buying rate was Rs 278.85, and the selling rate was Rs 280.45.
The Euro saw a decrease of 70 paisas, closing at Rs 307.51, down from Rs 308.21. The Japanese yen fell by 1 paisa to Rs 1.93. The British Pound dropped by 47 paisas, closing at Rs 364.75, compared to Rs 365.22 the previous day.
The Emirates Dirham decreased by 2 paisas to close at Rs 75.85, while the Saudi Riyal rose by 1 paisa to close at Rs 74.26.
