Pakistani Rupee Continues Improvement, Gains 90 Paisa Against US Dollar

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani Rupee upward trend continued for the 10th consecutive session as on Monday the local currency further witnessed a gain of 90 paisa against the American Dollar in the interbank trading and closed at Rs 295.95 against Rs 296.85 on the previous day’s closing, as reported by State Bank of Pakistan.

However, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market witnessed a light change and settled at Rs 296.1 and Rs 299 respectively.

Pakistani Rupee Against Other Currencies

Like the greenback, the price of the Euro also went down and witnessed a decline by 76 paisa to close at Rs 315.62 against Rs 316.38 on last day’s closing.

However, the Japanese Yen remained unchanged to close at Rs 2, whereas the British Pound witnessed a decrease of Rs 2.52  and was traded at Rs 366.41 against to the last closing of Rs 368.93.

The exchange rates of the Saudi Riyal and the Emirates Dirham witnessed a decrease by 25 paisa each to close at Rs 78.89 and Rs 80.57 respectively.
