Pakistani Rupee Appreciates by 8 Paisas, Dollar’s Value Settled at Rs283.83

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani rupee gained 8 paisas against the US Dollar in the interbank trading on Friday as it closed at Rs 283.83 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 283.91.

 According to the Forex Association of Pakistan, greenback buying and selling prices in the open market were recorded at 286.6 rupees and Rs 289.5, respectively.

Rupee against other currencies

The price of the Euro went down by Rs1.62 to close at 311.98 rupees against the last day’s closing of 313.60 rupees, according to the State Bank of Pakistan.

The Japanese Yen lost 3 paisas to close at 2.09 rupees, whereas a surge of 15 paisas was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which traded at 353.99 rupees as compared to its last day’s closing of 353.84 rupees.

The exchange rate of the Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal dropped by 2 paisas each to close at 77.29 rupees and 75.67 rupees, respectively.
