ISLAMABAD: All arrangements have been finalized across Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) to mark the 146th birth anniversary of Pakistan’s founder Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, on Sunday with great national zeal and enthusiasm.

The founder of the nation stood as a statesman who never for once deviated from principles for which he struggled in the best interest of his people. He was a lawyer by profession and a politician. He joined All-India Muslim League in 1913 and worked as a leader of the party until Pakistan’s independence on Aug 14, 1947. He then served as Pakistan’s first Governor-General until his demise on Sept 11, 1948.

Quaid-e-Azam as a role model

On the occasion of the 146th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, special prayers will be offered in mosques for Pakistan’s solidarity, integrity, prosperity, and progress. Special ceremonies will be held to celebrate Quaid’s day in all districts of Pakistan.

The aim of the ceremonies is to pay tribute to the father of the nation.  Various organizations, government departments, schools, and universities have devised programs to mark the special day.

An organizer told the media that the aim of the events is to promote and highlight the views and ideas of the father of Pakistan, especially with regard to the supremacy of the constitution, rule of law, and democracy.

On the day, public and private departments will hold seminars, conferences, competitions, and discussion programs to highlight the vision and messages of Quaid-e-Azam. Quaid’s birthday cakes will be cut in different parts of the country.

Talking to the media, an organizer said that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s life is a role model for them and said that youth must follow his footprint to bring progress and prosperity to Pakistan.
